Continuous band sealers (also known as rotary heat sealers) utilize motorized Teflon belts that guide pouch openings past temperature-controlled heating and cooling brass blocks. This continuous process enables packaging speeds from 0 to 12 meters per minute, drastically outpacing manual impulse hand or foot sealers.
When choosing a band sealer, the primary considerations are product orientation and bag weight: Horizontal models (FR-900 / FR-900M) are ideal for lightweight, solid, dry contents that lay flat without spilling. Vertical models (equipped with vertical drive columns or jack stands) keep pouches upright, making them mandatory for liquids, pastes, grains, oils, and 3kg to 10kg standing pouches.
