High-Density Black Printing

The Universal Seal™ General IQ800 Plus Black Solvent Ink Cartridge is designed for industrial TIJ coding applications requiring dark, clearly visible and consistent black printing. General describes IQ800Plus as providing high adhesion, high density/darkness and stable printability, including continuous printing applications.

42ml Solvent Ink Cartridge

The cartridge contains 42ml of black solvent-based ink and uses the HP 45si (1/2-inch) cartridge format. This configuration provides a maximum print swath of approximately 12.7mm (0.5 inch).

Strong Adhesion on Multiple Surfaces

IQ800Plus is designed to work across a broad range of compatible substrates. General specifically identifies materials including OPP, PP, PET, PE, PVC, rubber, glass, aluminium, coated paper, carton, paper and wood as suggested substrates. Actual adhesion can vary with surface treatment and operating conditions, so testing on the final packaging material is recommended.

Ideal for Industrial Product Coding

When used with a compatible TIJ printer, the cartridge is suitable for coding information such as MFG Date, EXP Date, Batch No., MRP, Lot No., serial numbers and text, as well as barcodes, QR codes and logos where supported by the printer.

Stable Continuous Printing

One of the key advantages of IQ800Plus is its stable printability. General specifically positions the formulation as suitable for continuous printing, making it useful for regular production and packaging-line coding applications.

Industrial TIJ Applications

The cartridge can be used with compatible 12.7mm TIJ printing systems that support the HP 45si cartridge format and required electrical parameters. Printer compatibility should be confirmed before purchase, particularly where a printer uses RFID/chip restrictions or manufacturer-specific cartridge settings.

Storage & Handling

General specifies a storage temperature of 15°C to 35°C and a shelf life of 8 months from the fill date for IQ800Plus. Before use, the printhead should be gently wiped with a dry lint-free cloth; after use, General recommends sealing it with the original cartridge clip and storing it with the printhead facing upward.
